Estia's Little Kitchen x The SHED Workspace
Please join us on Sunday, February 3rd, from 3:30 to 5:30PM at Estia's Little Kitchen for an opening reception that features the worrfk of Georgia Suter and Edwina Lucas.
The SHED Workspace is thrilled to help showcase the work of these two local talents. As young painters, both women are prime examples of the creative spirit that thrives within our community.
The current exhibit will run from now until March 20th. All work is for sale. Proceeds will benefit the Estia's Artist Fund. It's a new initiative — spearheaded by Colin Ambrose — to help support local artists, offsetting the cost of materials and supplies through the sale of art at Estia's.
About the Artists:
EDWINA LUCAS was born and raised on Long Island. As a young girl, Lucas' mother taught her oil painting and she quickly fell in love with the medium. A graduate of Skidmore College, Lucas now lives and works in Sag Harbor. Her current body of work draws inspiration from the unique topography and natural light of the East End.
GEORGIA SUTER was born in Manhattan but grew up in Washington, D.C., Connecticut, and Long Island. A graduate of New York University, Suter's work examines the ways in which human beings occupy urban and rural spaces. She explores themes such as inclusion and exclusion, a sense of belonging, and anonymity in urban life.
